Donate Time – Foster

Foster

You can save lives by becoming a foster family. Luckily, fostering animals is not a permanent commitment. it is also a fulfilling and rewarding experience. HAL needs foster families to care for :photo 2

  • orphaned puppies and kittens too young for adoption
  • pregnant/nursing mothers and their babies who need a quiet home
  • orphaned babies – puppies and kittens- that need round the clock care
  • shy dogs/cats that need one on one attention and peaceful home
  • sick/injured/senior animals that need a quiet loving home to heal or live out their last days in peace and comfort.

We are looking for caring, compassionate folks who are over 21 years old who live in Beaufort County. Do you want to save an animal’s life? Can you find time to care for animals who are in desperate need of help? If so, foster one of more of our animals.  At no cost to you, HAL provides all medical care through our veterinary partner — Port Royal Veterinary Hospital.  If you can’t provide basic needs for your foster animal, then HAL will pay for things like food, bowls, crate, and litter. However, if you can pay for some of these things, HAL would be very appreciative.  If you think that you would like to become a HAL Foster family, please complete the Foster Application. Thank you for opening up your heart and home.
