Fostering is a temporary commitment with a lifelong impact—you provide love and care to an animal in need until they find their forever home. It’s an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding experience that directly saves lives.
Why Foster?
HAL is seeking compassionate foster families to care for animals in urgent need, including:
Orphaned Kittens – Too young for adoption and need special care
Pregnant/Nursing Mothers – A quiet home for moms to safely raise their babies
Bottle-Fed Kittens – Orphaned kittens needing round-the-clock care
Shy Cats – Need one-on-one attention in a peaceful environment
Sick, Injured, or Senior Animals – Need a calm, loving home to heal or spend their final days in comfort
Who Can Foster?
✔️ Must be 21+ years old
✔️ Live in Beaufort County
✔️ Have time, space, and love to care for a foster animal
What HAL Provides
Medical care through one of our veterinary partners
Supplies (if needed) – Food, bowls, crate, litter, and more
Support & Guidance – We’re with you every step of the way!
If you can cover some basic needs, HAL greatly appreciates it! But if not, we’ll make sure you have everything you need.
